Good advice... just a while ago, someone described some grinding
modifications required to fit water pumps on early engines. This sounds
very much like the noise an ill-fitting water pump pulley would make
with the later pump installed. Perhaps all that is required is to
correct that problem to avoid the purchase of an engine blanket.
