RE hp vrs speed

A while back the thread of conversation was to find out hp without a dyno. 
  Summit racing sells an accelerometer that you plug into the cig liter
socket and stick on you windscreen. You can read the g force as you
accelerate.  You can then figure out your hp or see if changes improve you
engine.
