I found solder wick to be an idea replacement for the copper wire inside the
"bic pen" push of the horn. Get the small size at your local electronics
store.
Solder the sliding end next to the spring first. Feed the wick through and
compress the spring as much as possible. Use a pair of needle nose vice
grips or similar to clip on the wire and hold the spring compressed. Feed
the wick through the other end and solder. I pulled the wick through and
bent it over the end at the correct length.
Check with a ohmmeter to make sure your solder connections are good.
