I'm planning on adding an 18mm Stainless steel nut, welded into the exhaust
pipe after the mainfold for an Oxygen sensor.  A Digital VOM can be used to
determine the voltage output of the oxygen sensor, which when used with a
correlation chart, can, while driving at any speed or rate of acceleration,
monitor the air/fuel mixture.

Cheap, easy and effective.
