Well, it was bound to happen. While trying to get the DPO wrong
screws drilled out of the windshield frame, I broke the windshield.
Actually, I had help, the windscreen was broken when the twins and
their friends opened the indoor soccer league in my workspace. Oh
well.. I was so looking forward to getting the windshield back in
place intact. I have been thinking a lot about the chance of
breaking the glass putting in the last screw.
So, Buffy shopped around today for a replacement and the price is a
shocking $360 murican dollars. I passed on buying a spare frame
with glass at the Portland swap meet a month ago. So, does anyone
have a good (read cheap) supplier for the glass? Also does anyone
have an address or phone number for Harold's TR, a supplier from
Oregon who frequents the LBC shows?
I do believe there was a small puff of blue smoke from my wiring
harness when I saw the soccer ball headed for the windshield.
I think I'm off to the pub to drown my sorrows.
