When you look at the back of your clocks, you'll see where the lamp
sockets go in--they're just pushed in. Pull one out and if you look
inside, you'll see that when in place, the lamp butts up against a small
piece of green coloured glass. For some reason, the green has probably
got scratched off. Hence the white light.
