Tom,

The extra holes in the frame at the trailing arm mounting area were put there
by the factory to make it easy for me to install a Ford 9" rear axle!
Actually, the extra holes are a carry-over from the TR4A. The TR4A came with
either an IRS or a live axle. The extra holes you found were where the front
mounting bracket for the leave springs attach. Thank goodness the factory
never saw fit to eliminate these holes on the TR5, TR250, or the TR6.
