Way off topic, but HELP!!

I've a Spitfire also so that's why I'm here but today I took my Honda
Accord V6 (35,000
miles) for service and was told it had sludge in the engine and the
ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED @ $5,000!!!   The oil has been changed
regularly.  It smokes a little on startup and more under HARD
acceleration
otherwise everythings fine.  I got some STP engine flush & will try it
AFTER I hear from y'all.  Forgive the intrusion of this question on this
list but I need some direction here.
