Appreciation goes out to the Richmond Triumph Register people, who
turned out in droves. Ditto to all the MG'ers who made a strong showing.

The ultimate irony is that Woodlawn Plantation, with its nearness to Mt.
Vernon, is the former estate of Eleanor Parke Custis, grandaughter of
our first President.  I hope she and he are at peace with having all
that British iron drive up on the lawn.

PS:  Best bumper sticker seen at Woodlawn yesterday:  "The parts falling
off this car are of the finest British workmanship."
