UK Registration Plate # CUO 914L

I have a UK plate # that I want to see if it is still registered.  The Vehicle 
is a 1973 TR6 PI RH Drive that was purchased in the UK in 1973 and then the 
original owner was transferred to Calgary AB, Canada.  The UK # is CUO 914L.  
Can anyone advise me how to see if this is still a valid # in the UK as the car 
has been restored and may be shipped back to the UK if a buyer is found and 
wants it shipped to the UK.!
