Not sure about the Spitfire, but for the TR6 I find the combination of the Bentleys & the Haynes unbeatable. The Bentleys gives very good in depth info, and the Haynes often provides very useful photos, as well as occasional practical substitutes for the unavailable, (to mere mortals), OEM repair tools.
