I have a problem, which is my floor pan will in the next year
rust through. I got it early, and have started a course of
antitrust treatment, but it looks terminal. The only answer
I can see is a new full length flaw pan.

BUT...

I was in the local, and I asked the land lord his advice, he
used to own an MG garage. He said you will need to take it
to a specialist.

Is said ouch.

I'm thinking if I were to take it to a specialist I would spend
the same amount as a MIG welder. So if it's possible to do this
with out a JIG then I would prefer to get my self a MIG, the
pans, and give a friend of mine a couple of tins of beer to show
me how it's done.

So have any of you out there ever replaced a floor pan with out a
jig. I presumed it's possible because there is a chase, and the
sills are intact. I don't mind welding a brace across the door
whilst I do it.

Any ideas?
