I may have a chance to relocate to Utah from Louisiana with my 71
TR-6. What are the smog laws and testing like in Utah. Are they strict?
Here in Louisiana they don't currently test for emissions or original
equipment. Am I going to have a problem with my Dual Webers and Fast
Cam?

Roger

PS what are the taxes like in Utah? Is there a State Income Tax, What is
the Sales Tax

Roger Helman

[ In years past, I used to tune up my '69 TR6, take it to the smog test and
get numbers that would pass for early '90s cars. So if you end up in one
of the counties that requires smog checks, you may not be in for too bad a
time. Yes, there is state income tax, sales tax around 6 to 7 percent,
  depending on county. mjb.]
