     Subject: Break Preparation

There have been a lot of threads devoted to converting to silicone
brake fluid. Unfortunately, I did not follow them as carefully as I
should have. My friend is thinking of doing this soon and was asking
me. I have thoughts of doing the same as I am thinking of geting the
Spit painted soon. I would guess that a number of people have
thoughts of doing this as well. I have dumped most of my old messages
that contains the lengthy discussions on this topic. Would it be
possible for someone to give me advice on this, or better yet, put it
on a web page for all to read. I know there must be many ways to do
it and it would be nice to be able to look all of them over and decide
what works best for yourself.

My friend will be replacing everything except the metal brake lines.
Right now this system is disassembled. I was thinking of using
compressed air and alcohol to initially clean the lines. Then put the
system together and pump a lot of silicone through it. Will this
work???

Thanks in advance.
