Veneer is now on the glovebox door; it looks much better.

Note, however, that the added thickness due to the veneer makes it
necessary to fiddle with the bracket that holds the lock in place.  It is
fine with just metal but with the wood it slides around.

I have no idea why there is a round bevel on the u-shaped bracket.  But it
makes it a pain to get the lock in solid.

I think I will make a new one out of some mild steel I've got.

Next step: painting the back of the dash.
