home plating nickel and chrome

Folks, has anybody ever tried Caswell Electroplating In Miniature's home
setups for electroplating?
I've been wanting to buy a kit but would like some feedback from an
independant source.
They have a solution for nickel plating by immersion (without electric
current).
There are so many bolts and brackets that would benefit from plating on
TR's and on my
antique bicycles.

Any feedback would be appreciated
