(THIS IS NOT THE MGB mentioned by me earlier.)

The general manager of a repair shop (John) that I take my Pathfinder to
has a '76? MGB (not chrome bumpers) that he may sell.

Apparently a customer of his owes him for services and was hoping that
the sale of the MGB would cover the debt.

I saw the car this morning. I didn't go climbing around it, inside it,
or under it. I did NOT do a thorough careful inspection... so do not
take my word for these observations... but:

The good news... it's pretty much all there, intact.... it is probably a
relatively rust free California Car with calif. tags that expired in
'94. Appears to be a very straight body... but paint is very tired. (I
do not know what body damage could be hidden by repairs.)

The bad news.... apparently doesn't run... interior is shot... guages
pulled, all interior pieces cracked, etc...

I think he's looking for over $2000.00. I'm not an MGB connoisseur, so
I don't know what it's worth, but if this is a car you're interested
in... you might want to make contact... as, with a little effort, you
may get a deal here... either from John or the actual owner of the car.
(i.e. Just make an offer! You never know.)

At the very least, if you KNOW MGB's and their value... your advice
would be helpful to him.

You want to talk to John at Karol's General Garage at 818-246-5696.

Please keep in mind that this is a place of business, and he may not be
able to talk long, etc.
