I've been off the list for a while, but I recently drove my Tr6 from Austin
Texas to Miami Florida. It was a smooth ride the whole way and there were
no problems, but when I got to my parents house just south of Sebring Fl. It
started to pull a little hard to the right. I guess a combination of a oil
drip onto the the stering rack bushings combined with the rough pavement of
East Texas and Louisanna caused some front end slop. Before I return after
thanksgiving I would like to replace the steering rack bushings and the left
front wheel bearing. I've done a lot of work on the car, but I've never
messed with the front end, and I don't have a shop manual. Can anyone let me
know how much work is involved in these two jobs? The bushings look pretty
straight forward, and I read the wheel turning trick off the VTR maintence
page. The bearing seems a bit more tricky. I can't even figure out how to
remove the cover cap. If anyone could take the time walk me through a step
by step on this job it would be much appreciated.

Enjoying the Sun
