Mike,

I've owned two '70 TR6's and from what I remember the 
1970 TR6 had two types of carbs during their production 
run. The early cars used carb #3292 which used a fixed 
meting needle while the later cars used carb # 3365 which
used a adjustable needle. If the brass I.D. tags under the
carb cover is missing (or you don't trust them) you can 
always look down the center of the air valve to see if it 
has the hex shaped socket the carb tool fits in (you may
have to clean the gunk out of the bottom to see).
