Here's a question that I've been pondering, in regards to the above post.
I know
that racers use lightened flywheels, to reduce weight and help the engine rev
faster. But, what type of effect does this have on daily driving type
reliability?

I'm interested in making my Spit go faster, but don't want to turn it into a
track car w/bad street habits.

Also, if it doesn't cause much of an affect, why didn't the factory do that
to them to start with?

Thanks!

Chip
