Engine rebuild cost?

This is the follow up to my Blue Smoke thread...
I read that the TR engine is an easy rebuild. Except for the machining of
head and valve guides, I am confident I can do it myself. I have access to
a well stocked shop and have done engine work in the past. My question is:
what is a ballpark figure of the cost of a rebuild? Parts only and
machining farmed out? I am certain a few listers have done this in the past
:)
