I just installed new poly bushings on my TR6. I had solicited advice
from the list prior to commencing and one piece of info I would like to
pass on concerns the sway bar bushings.

These are the cylindrical ones which fit around the sway bar and under
the u-bolt clamps. Several listers suggested cutting the bushings in
order to fit them over the flattened ends of the sway bar. It turns out
that boiling poly bushings softens them up so that they actually fit
over the ends without any problems whatsoever! Just make sure you wear
some gloves when handling the "boiled" bushings.

I also cleaned my sway bar with a drill mounted wire brush prior to
installing the new bushings. This made the install easier as there was
less dirt to prevent the smooth sliding of the bushigs over the bar.

Thanks to Roger Bolick for the tip.
