Sit in the car while someone watches for crank travel as you push in the
clutch. Release and push/pry against the frame cross tube to push the crank
pulley back towards the driver. Reengage the clutch and watch and listen for
the "thunk". My first guess is that the thrust washers have spun out into the
oil pan. VERY COMMON TR6 problem.Drop the pan and reinstall proper thickness
if you are luck...if you are not lucky the crank may have to be pulled and
the bearing face rebuilt and resurfaced.Second easy check is..you do have the
clutch pedal spring in place right?. Up under the dash...otherwise the second
push of the pedal may not have a full hydraulic barrel to use. Last...did you
replace the clutch fork pin?. Keep us posted.
Bodies range from 4" to 6 inch and fan blades 1" to 3"...depends...but there
are a lot of them to choose from. And I did mean to imply you remove the
mechanical fan first. Then there is plenty of room. Happy junk yard hunting.
