This weekend I plan to replace the gasket between the exhaust manifold
and exhaust system on my 76 TR6. I have the gasket from TRF and I have
unbolted the four studs/nuts which secure the current gasket. My
questions:

1. What can I do to the suds and nuts to facilitate easier removal in
the future? The ones on there now took quite a bit of liquid wrench and
light tapping before they would come free. Since this is a high-heat
area, is regular anti-sieze compound ok? Or is there some other trick?

2. I have to use the old studs for now but plan to order new ones from
TRF (and the accompanying brass nuts - none of this stuff seems to be
available at the local hardware stores :-( ). Will it ruin the gasket if
I change the studs and nuts a short time (month or so) after initially
doing it all up with a fresh gasket? This gasket is fairly unusual (for
me anyways) in that it is fairly thick and has soem sort of material
(asbestos?) sandwiched between metal.

Thanks in advance as usual...
