Paul - my thought is that unless the old front end pieces were SO trashed 
and worn that the alignment settings appear to be way off with all the new 
bits, I'd go ahead and reinstall them as they will "probably" get your 
static alignment somewhere "close" to where it was or should be.  Besides, 
you can always simply loosen the bolt(s) for the A-arm mounts and slip the 
shims out at time of alignment.
