Mine is and was black, with that white sound deadening crap all over the
front as are all the other ones I've seen. I've since repainted (black) and
re-applied sound deadening. Used roofing tar. I didn't like the white
look. Works great, you just have to let it dry out for a while before you
hang it verticle.
