For those of you who are vintage racing fans, or think you may want to be.
The new Gingerman race track (new in 1996) located in South Haven, Michigan
is promoting the VSCDA Gingerman Spring Brake. This is a three day event
that includes a race driving school that takes place on Friday evening May 16
and during the day on Saturday May 17. Sunday May 18 will be vintage and
historic racing at the Gingerman Raceway. A decent turnout of British cars
is expected. There is a $10 spectator fee for the Sunday race.

The Sunday schedule is as follows: (Michigan time)

7:30AM RACE REGISTRATION AND TECHNICAL INSPECTION
  9:00AM MORNING PRACTICE SESSIONS
11:00AM TOURING
12:00PM AFTERNOON PRACTICE SESSIONS
 1:30PM QUALIFYING SESSIONS
  3:00PM FEATURE RACES

Touring of the track (11:00AM) is available for all cars. A $35 fee is
required and each driver must fill out a waiver form, including name,
address, car make, model, year, and signed by the driver. The tour fee
includes a pig roast held after the races. A packet will be handed out on
Sunday to those who submit their payment and waiver in advance. The tour
consists of a one hour tour of the track at a maximum speed of 75 miles per
hour (probably not for the faint of heart).

The Gingerman Race Track was the conception of its owner, VSCDA member Dan
Schnitta, who named the race track after a bar that he owns in Chicago.
Designed by Alan Wilson, the track consists of 1.88 miles of roadway, 36
feet wide, with 11 turns. It features varying elevation changes over a
surface designed to minimize the possibility of vehicle damage without
sacrificing performance.

The Michiana Brits are planning to caravan to the race on Sunday which just
happens to land on the tail end of BC Week and would welcome any other people
or clubs to join us and bring your LBC's.

(I hope I got all of this right Joe)
