Hello Folks,

I decided to try to make sense of all of these numbers.

First off, I would like to thank all respondents and the info provided.
General consensus is that the idle jets may be too small. I think I agree
with that, but I did find a couple things that I don't quite understand.

Before I start changing jets and chokes etc, I'm going to make sure that
my ignition is working properly. It turns out that I have disconnected my
vacuum retard from the distributor. This might be a problem. One that's
all set and the new exhaust is hooked up, I'll try again.

What I do have at this point is the following:

Choke<30>, Aux Venturi<4.5>, Main Jet<115>, Emulsion Tube<F11>, Air
Corrector<1.55>, Idle Jet<0.45/F9>, Accel Pump<0.45>.

These numbers would be very close to the Triumph Tune numbers... except
for the Sprint cam. With my motor having a stock cam, perhaps my Choke is
too large.

Oh well, when I figure things out, I'll try to report to the Triumph list
(if any of you can stand actual Triumph content, of course). ;-)

And when I get it going, I'll probably have a box of emulsion tubes and
chokes etc. for sale cheap!

C Ya,
rml

p.s. is it just me or is there a typo on page 499 of the TRF TR6 Spare
Parts Catalog: looks like they list idle jets as F8, F11 and F13.
Shouldn't it be: F8, F9 and F13? Or is it that they don't recommend the
F9 idle jet??? Inquiring minds need to know!
