Dear digest members,
all this talk about whether you were more likely to
get 'lucky' (as it were) in a TR as opposed to a van/bus got me
thinking. Cliff Richard had the ultimate 'VAN' in the film 'the young
ones', a large double decker bus. it is widely known that Cliff has
never got a sniff off any action what so ever. Cliff was by no means
ugly so it wasn't that that put the women off. To add weight to this
theory i will use michael caine in 'The Italian Job'. at the beginning
when him and his mates have the Jag and the aston he has a tasty blonde
all over him. When they get the dormobile and the bus the birds are no
where to be seen. And how about 007 in 'live and let die' he gets to
drive a bus and the only bird he pulls is one of the enemy and dies
shortly afterwards! from my own experience when i borrowed my grandad's
bedford camper thing on a friday night i was the only one who didn't
you know what (It also had a crap manual column change) !

in conclusion I would reckon that you're better off
with an LBC than an MPV. It's better to test the theory than putting it
in practise by filling all those 7 plus seats??

i'd rather have a small fun to drive sports car than a road going
ocean liner.
