Do you still have the original latch? If you do you can sandblast it and use a
4 step sray system that Eastwood has to make them look like cadmium plated.

I've just joined this group so I don't now the history of this thread.
However I also replaced my bonnet catch with a Moss unit and was surprised
at it's lack of rigidity. Does anyone have a source for more rigid units as
I too don't expect this unit to last long?
