I've been resisting temptation to add to this, but I've lost.

In the fifties, Hitchcock had a series called (I think) "Alfred Hitchcock 
Presents" with a different 30-minute mystery each week, different cast a la 
Twilight Zone.  I saw a rerun one time with a TR-3 as the murderer's car.
