Daren,
Pray tell, in what way are "bull bars" *dangerous*?

As an Australian who has traversed that great ancient
continent several times, I can assure you there is nothing
short of life-preserving qualities in bull-bars (for large
vehicles) and roo-bars for cars. Travelling the outback at
dusk and night are very hazardous, as grazing animals approach
the road for warmth. Large pieces of pipe securely attached
to the frame at the front of the vehicle does not
necessarily mean that there will be no damage to the vehicle
should a animal leap out of the darkness into your path, but
they do a great job of protecting the radiator. Outback roads
are not as well travelled as your "green lanes", and considerably
more remote.

Besides, they make for great protection from other drivers
who "park by the braile method".
