I am getting ready to re-install the taillights on my TR-6 and want to know if any sealing compound needs to be applied to the (new) gaskets (the gasket between the chrome taillight body and the vehicle body)? When I took these off they were covered in a very gooey tar like substance which was a pain to remove.
