A TR250 bonnet will fit any TR4. The length and width are the same.
Unless yours is a very early TR4, Once you install it, paint it, and fit
the TR4 emblem and "TRIUMPH" lettering, it will look like the original.

If yours is a very early TR4, you'll notive that the bubble on the TR250
bonnet is longer than on your original one. On most TR4s, all TR4-As, and
all TR5/250's the bubble extends right to the rear edge of the bonnet. On
very early TR4s it stops about six inches in front of the rear edge.
Unless you're an originality freak, that's only a cosmetic difference.
The long-bubble bonnet has much stronger bracing underneath, which is a
plus.

Early TR4s used flat-topped adjustable rubber rests at the back corners of
the bonnet, while later ones (and the 250) use cone-shaped rests. If
yours is a very early TR4 you'll need to switch to the cone-shaped rests
to match the mating surface at the rear corners of the replacement bonnet.
Seems to me there is also a difference in the bonnet latch, but if so that
should be a simple hardware swap.

While we're on the subject, does anyone out there have an early TR4
short-bubble bonnet in good condition for sale? Also need a pair of early
TR4 (or late TR3A/3B) seats.

If cars had evolved as fast as computers have, by now they'd cost a
quarter, run for a year on a half-gallon of gas, and explode once a day.
