The heat shield that I've been happiest with is bubble wrap covered with aluminized mylar. You can buy it at home supply stores (Home Depot, etc) by the foot. It's fairly cheap and about 1/4" thick. It made a *huge* difference in the GT6 cabin temperature. We just cut it to size and put it under the carpets (everywhere, including the tranny cover). This is most emphatically *not* the stuff that Moss and others are selling. That stuff is some sort of fabric backed by mylar - the fabric will get wet and hold the moisture against the floorboards! |
