Well, starting up the Spit isn't going too well. Before I pulled the engine
maybe 5 months ago, I was reading 150 pounds of compression across the
board. Now, since it's not been starting I decided to recheck the
compression. 120-150-150-150. And it appears like the number 1 cylinder
also isn't getting as much fuel as the others (checked from the wet spark
plugs), if any at all. Can someone suggest what this could mean. The engine
was sitting in the garage for a few months, could it be valves, or
(shudder) a broken piston ring? Please someone tell me it's just a valve
adjustment...or at worst it needs a valve job, much easier to pull the head
than the engine: (
Any and all suggestions as to the problem, more things I should look for
and solutions will be greatly appreciated. I really want to sell our
Minivan, but at this rate...
