Nick, I have had no problem using a open-end spanner. As far as tightening the bolts on reassembly, I always rely on my finely calibrated sense of feel. If you go to headers, you can get a socket in there. Department of redundancy department: If you use an open-ended crescent, where do you find a closed-end crescent?
