That wasn't stated very well. I was removing some studs that
had been welded when they were installed, and then broke at a
later date. No-one welded broken studs into my TR-4's rear
hubs...
BTW, shearing off wheel studs at speed on an autocross course
can get very exciting! (...and it doesn't do the pavement much
good, either).
