I tend to rely on a coating (a leaked blob really) of grease around the=20
nipple but I like the stainless steel route. =C2=A0However, I wonder if the=
=20
internals, the spring and sealing ball are stainless as well.

They seem expensive, for that price I'd want tassels on them.=C2=A0 What I=
=20
did do on my Sprite was replace all the nipples with ones made in=20
stainless steel and this was not cheap.

Don't forget to purchase some nipple covers.....

Today I drilled the roll bar hole for the B and C pairs of blocks and=20
then reamed all 3 sets.=C2=A0 I was disappointed with how the reaming went=
=20
until the 3rd set of blocks where I found turning the reamer anti-clock=20
wise a lot, helped it.
=C2=A0
I have the A and B set of blocks on the car with anti-tramp (swap)=20
clamped between them and the bar is tight.=C2=A0 In fact it's tighter than =
I=20
would like which might be a slight mis-alignment between the blocks, the=20
paint on the bar, or lack of grease.=C2=A0 However, tight is ok because the=
=20
old blocks were loose.=C2=A0 I'll have a look at things mid-week and maybe=
=20
try combinations of A+C and B+C to see if it makes any difference.
=C2=A0
The delay is because I need to drill a hole and tap a 1/4 UNF thread for=20
the grease nipple.=C2=A0 I know you guys call them Zerks but I think nipple=
=20
is a more interesting word to use.=C2=A0 The actual delay though is that I=
=20
don't have a 1/4 UNF tap so have had to order one from eBay.
=C2=A0
The new Koni shock-absorbers (dampers) arrived today but without the=20
extra bushes specific to my Frontline installation so I have a delay on=20
getting those fitted.
=C2=A0
I am thinking about the next project which is to make some new bottom=20
brackets for the frontline kit using thick-wall tube rather than solid=20
bar.=C2=A0 I also then need to decide if the fastening fixing will be metri=
c=20
or imperial (the top is already metric).
