Mark,
I have a rear hinged bonnet on my street Bugeye and a front hinged bonnet on=
my race Bugeye. The stock rear hinged bonnet is much harder to open compar=
ed to the front hinged race car. The issue with the front hinges is finding=
a set that fit well and work properly. My front hinges were made by a prev=
ious owner and while they work the bonnet doesn't fit very well. And then t=
here is the issue of latching the bonnet when it's closed. Tom Colby at Sp=
eedwell Engineering makes a nice set of front hinges and a clever latch set u=
p too. But like everything Tommy does they are quite pricey and the latch s=
et costs 50% more than the hinges. I've bought several Bugeyes for less tha=
n what he wants for a set of hinges and latches. :-)
