Remove the retaining screw, it has blue RTV on it. I don=E2=80=99t use =
blue RTV. =20
Remove axle, NO seal. NO =E2=80=9CO=E2=80=9D ring. No =E2=80=9CO=E2=80=9D=
ring groove.
Now heading out to shop to get large socket to undo the hub retaining =
nut. =20
Thoughts at this time lead to the fact that I have never replaced this =
side seal or bearing. And that I now have 2 =E2=80=9CO=E2=80=9D rings =
that are not worth returning. And that this thing has not leaked =
significantly with no seal of any kind in place OR all of the diff oil =
leaked out early on and I am lucky that I didn=E2=80=99t drive cross =
country with it like this .
