So, a search of the 10,807 messages I still keep on my machine (Yes, really.) indicated that I asked the same questions in 2009. In 9 years has anything changed? Are there new seals that are the bees knees? I donâ??t think that I need new bearings as the miles are low enough. Just to be sure I need to: Undo the retaining screw Lever the axle out and free of the hub Undo lock washer Undo hub nut Jury rig a device to pull hub Pull out seal Install new seal Reinstall hub, lock washer, nut (Any tips welcome, all the video shows work with rear end removed from car.) Install new â??Oâ?? ring Install new paper gasket Install axle Congratulate myself on a job well done? ------------------------ spridgets@autox.team.net Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Suggested annual donation: $12.75 Archive: http://www.team.net/pipermail/spridgets Unsubscribe/Manage: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/spridgets/mharc@autox.team.net |
