Nylock nuts are designed to be used more than once. It's important with=
=20
any super-critical nut to torque them up with a torque wrench. Often what=
=20
can cause the nut to work loose is a soft metal washer or lock-tab undern=
eath=20
them. I though the Leacy Classics price (came up in UK =A3s) was expensi=
ve=20
at something like 82 pence unless that was for a set of 4. For anyone,=
=20
especially all you 'mericans, try _www.aircraftspruce.com_=20
(http://www.aircraftspruce.com) who are your side of the pond and don't=
mind really small=20
orders. It's possible to order aviation grade locknuts or aviation grade=
=20
stainless steel locknuts. Sometimes I'll use an ARP 12 point stainless=
nut=20
which doesn't have a nylon insert but torqued correctly doesn't come undo=
ne. I=20
guess it's possible to use threadlock in an appropriate grade and I use=
=20
brake cleaner to clean the threads first before using it when I do.

Subject: [Spridgets] Nuts for Wire Wheels Frogs.
Thought I should put this out to the readership just in case............
I have the adapter hubs to convert the back end of the Sprite from disc=
=20
to wire wheels. I am using the small ny-lock nuts (RCK103N - google it=
=20
if you haven't seen these) and due to various issues have had the hubs=20
off and on several times. Now I remember reading that one should not=20
re-use this type of nut but, well who really believes.... I now do,=20
they came undone last week. No damage, just a very loose wheel and=20
hub. Got it home, cleaned up the mess, and got it back together with my=
=20
new spare set (I had 4 fortunately). If you are using this adapter, be=20
advised. If you are still using the large nuts that can damage the=20
wheels, these are an excellent way to go - with the above caveat.
Drive Sprigetly!
