There are two different splines used on the Sprite/Midget. The early
splines are smaller than the later splines. The early small splines are the
same as some early Triumphs like the Herald. Your options are to either find
an early small splined boss and wheel or fit the later larger spline
column and buy something new off the shelf. It's possible but not cheap to
have
a boss made from solid alloy bar for the small spline column.
