I have consulted this book extensively. It was probably the horrid state of the
cars in the book that finally convinced me to go ahead with my project.
I actually used this book the last time I gave the car a going over. Of course,
the car was in better shape last time around. I am finding myself comfortable
doing the work, but the car has no happy surprises so far.

That is one great book and a MUST own for anyone restoring a Spridget.B Lots
of good info there. That was the first book I bought when I first embarked on
restoring my old Sprite.
Just my loose change on the subject!

"Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course
lie all the realities and verities of existence. The bliss of growth, the
splendor of action, the glory of power. And yesterday is but a dream, and
tomorrow is only a vision. But today - well lived - makes every yesterday a
dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore,
to this day. ~ Sanskrit proverb ~

If you want to read about and see photos of the resurrection of a
Spridget in really poor condition, get a copy of Lindsay Porter's
"Guide to Purchase & DIY Restoration of the MG Midget & Austin Healey
Sprite" from Haynes B - ISBN 0 85429 336 1. It shows a car that we in
this country wouldn't even consider as able to be saved. It does show
some photos of parts of the insides of a car most of us would never
(never want to ) see. It may give you some encouragement if yours
isn't as bad as the one depicted in the book.
Good luck. Keep us posted,
Bob
