 <<011.jpg>> Thanks for your reply.
What you say is partly true.
The works Sprite shown at Sebring is a genuine works car BUT,

This car was not the 1968 LeMans entry.
It was never raced by Healeys and when the BMC contract expired after
LeMans in 1968 this chassis was incomplete. Healeys completed it and
sold it and the open roadster TFR.7 (built for the Targa Florio and not
entered.) to the east coast BMC distributors. Both these cars I refer to
were entered and raced by the Ring Free Oil Co. and had serious American
race history but not with the Healey company. The coupe was driven at
Daytona and Sebring. It has a chassis number very close to mine. There
are several detail differences that identify one car from the other.

The attached photo is the 1968 LeMans car and I have the original LeMans
entry form with the engine number listed that is in the car today. I
purchased the car in 2000 from the owner who had the car from the 1970s
and he has given me copies of pics. of Geoff Healey viewing the car. I
also had two discussions with Roger Menadue who was team chief at Lemans
from 1948 thro to 1968 with Healeys.

As a matter of interest I also own the works 1965 Sebring 3000 and have
had it since 1977. My first car was a Healey 100/6 in 1966 when I was
17. All that time I have tracked works Healeys and was privilidged to
meet Donald, Geoffery and John Healey

My aim is to keep the Healey history as accurate as possible.
