While talking with a 356 guy, at this weekend's 356 Registry ECH in
Cleveland, I mentioned that I was a Spridget guy as well as a 356er. He
then told me about how they were looking to make more room for aircraft in a
hangar he rented with some of his friends near Chillicothe, Ohio. He said
there is a "fully assembled basket case" Bugeye that one of the partners has
been keeping in hope that his son will want to restore it. Apparently, his
son has no interest in the car, so they are "hinting" to the guy that it
really needs to be moved elsewhere.
If anyone is interested in the car, I can provide contact information for
one of the other guys renting the hangar, who in turn can contact the owner
of the Bugeye. All I know about the car, other than of its existence, is
that it was last registered/licensed in '79. Still, if any of you southern
Ohio guys might be interested in following up on the car; this one might be
worth your time & effort.
