I agree with Ed. Is that some sign of the apocalypse? :-)
You never want to be in these situations, but if you have elderly
parents or neighbors, you need to know this stuff. You'll save their
lives. The classes are cheap, and not icky. The value of taking the
class lies in learning the amount of force you need to apply during CPR.
I just finished my SCUBA first aid, CPR, AED, and O2 provider class.
Things have changed a lot since I took it some 10 years ago. They've
made the procedures a lot simpler and useful for regular people in
emergency situations. Interestingly enough, our diving rescue procedures
have hardly changed at all.
