My wife makes homemade sauce, excuse me "gravy" quite often.
A little different sauce than Spaghetti caruso, but
Quite easy.
Big pot, brown some ground beef, add 2 can tomato paste,
2 large cans of tomato crushed tomatoes, 2 large cans tomato puree,
spices, such as, bay leaves, oregano, garlic and some others to taste. simmer
for a few hours.
While simmering, make and fry the meatballs and sausage, then add to the pot.
My mother in law used to add leftover meet from the week, such as steak and
bones,
unseasoned ribs. Stir occasionally, after 5-6 hours, MAGNIFICO!
Makes quite a bit, so freeze the leftover if you want, enjoy anytime!
Delicious!!!!
I'm sure other's have variations of this...
