Sometimes the plastic ones will change color in sunlight. And maybe, in
Europe, they favored yellow on one side or the other. I think it dates back
to when they'd park halfway up on the sidewalk at night, and leave a running
light on. The Mercedes in the 1950's still had a separate light switch
setting that would light their left or right side low-wattage light for
night sidewalk parking. ...bill in corvallis

In my BE kit's light box, I found one red glass beehive lens with rusty
chrome ring - Lucas L594 - along with various plastic ones (why yellow?).
If anyone has a car that is supposed to have glass and wants it, contact me
off-list.
